We are a hard rock band that takes inspiration from artists like: Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, Nirvana, Guns n Roses and more. We are a new band trying to bring the rock sound back, but do it our own way.
THE NEW REAL
The New Real are a four piece alternative rock outfit from the South East of England known for their guitar-rock sound, soaring melodies, driving riffs and compelling lyrics. The bands target is to break into the festival scene to play to a wider muso audience with the ultimate objective being to play Glastonbury!
Influenced by a drop of Muse, a sprinkle of Radiohead, Pearl Jam and Nothing But Thieves, infused with Dave Gilmore, Jon Bonham and Chris Cornell - not sounding like them, but inspired by the great rock and alternative rock they created with occasional funk and pop spice added in!
THE SILENT ARCHIVE
The Silent Archive is a four-piece alt-rock/post-hardcore band from Hertfordshire, drawing influence from bands like Hell is for Heroes, Hundred Reasons, and Reuben. Their sound blends heavy guitar riffs with melodic hooks, creating a dynamic mix that balances intensity and atmosphere.
S.C.O.
S.C.O is a 4 piece British rock band based in St Albans. The band started up in 2023 and started posting on social media the year after. S.C.O was formed in school by a collection of rock-loving and pringle-adoring friends and is heavily influenced by the works of the Arctic Monkeys and Green Day. The unique brand of entertainment combines powerful drums and sharp vocals with an impressive stage presence and witty stage banter, a combination that will make anyone want to dance and sing all night long.
Conquering their school’s battle of the bands wasn’t enough for them though, because they’re coming for us at The Horn, too.

There will be independent judges voting on the acts based on various criteria including, song writing, stage presence and overall performance.
Winning band will be announced by one of the judges on the night after all bands have performed.
